Description
Whiting Corporation, a world leader in the manufacture of overhead cranes and transportation lifting equipment, is seeking a Shipper/Loader.
Under general direction:
- Responsible for assisting with nontechnical inspection and receipt of inbound materials and associated documentation. Candidates should have prior experience or a willingness to learn receiving duties and possess general computer skills.
- Responsible for assisting with loading activities associated with parts and new equipment shipments. This includes preparing parts orders for truck and/or UPS shipment and processing the associated shipping documentation. Candidate must have a forklift and crane license or provide documentation of past experience. Candidates will be tested on overhead crane and forklift operation prior to hiring.
- Assists warehouse personnel with general duties including picking, delivering and stocking of material.
- Assists with daily cycle count activities including counting of material and reconciliation activities.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement Programs, including support of the supply chain management and inventory reduction initiatives.
- Participate in ISO/TE programs aimed at process documentation and improvement.
- Willingness to perform work functions in accordance with safety rules and practices.
- Exhibit good written and verbal communication skills and a willingness to work in a team atmosphere.
Requirements:
- Exhibits good written and verbal communications skills and a willingness to work in a team environment
- Forklift and overhead crane operator's licenses/training preferred or provide documentation of related past experiences.
- Technical, electrical and/or mechanical aptitude is preferred.
- Minimum of two years prior experience is preferred.
- Must be able to follow-up with tasks and requests in a prompt manner.
