Receiving Clerk/Receipt Inspector

This position is expected to be a team player, self-motivated and able to prioritize tasking in a fast-moving manufacturing environment. This position reports to the Materials Manager and will assist the Quality Department with receipt inspections as required.

Job Description:

• Responsible for the receipt of all materials, outside contractor services and MRO items needed to manufacture and assemble overhead crane and rail systems.

• Verify materials received are in compliance with the purchase order description and quantity. From a quality standpoint, also ensures material meets critical dimensions and is accompanied by any pertinent certifications.

• Work directly with the purchasing department to resolve any material part or quantity discrepancies.

• Conduct all receiving transactions in MRP system, generate material tags and label materials accordingly.

• Direct the distribution of inbound materials to stock or job specific locations based off the material tags generated.

• Ability to cross train on shipping duties such as scheduling LTL, TL and daily UPS shipments to fill in when necessary.

• Assists with daily cycle count activities including counting of material and reconciliation activities.

• Willingness to perform work functions in accordance with safety rules and practices.

Requirements:
 

• Exhibit good written and verbal communication skills and a willingness to work in a team atmosphere. Forklift experience is not required, but preferred.
• Technical, electrical and/or mechanical aptitude is not required, but preferred.
• Must be able to follow up with tasks and requests in a prompt manner.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Products and ability to navigate ERP systems
