Description
Sales and Marketing Coordinator
Performs functions to fulfill a multi-faceted position supporting all of Whiting Corporation’s new equipment sales and marketing efforts.
Under general direction:
Assists the Marketing Department with new lead generation for the Sales Team, including:
- Engaging in verifying leads and appointment setting as necessary (telemarketing).
- Enters all daily house leads in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software. Input from web forms, tradeshows, house email, special events, phone-ins and other outlets.
- Acts as a clearinghouse for all daily incoming leads.
- Coordinates the timely completion of all Insertion Orders and submittal of copy for all media.
- Assists with all general and special marketing campaigns, including email blast/direct mail.
- Completes written correspondence such as follow-up letters, including utilizing mail merges.
- Researches/gathers valuable product and customer demographic data for use in developing sales opportunities.
- Provides assistance for market research and lead opportunities.
- Assists individual Sales Team members with validating and entering customer information in CRM including new additions, open opportunities, proposals and other key information.
- Upfront planning to ensure logistical requirements for industry trade shows and internal/external special events.
- Coordinate sales and marketing collateral including customer fulfillment.
- Coordinates customer satisfaction letters and surveys, including customer incentive programs and maintaining statistics for executive management/ISO 9001 requirements.
- Engages in extensive contact with customers and vendors by completing outgoing written and oral communications such as proposals, letters, memos, email and telephone calls.
- Occasionally acts as the first point of contact to field urgent customer issues.
- Maintains and updates sales proposal logs (Won/Lost/Dead) for internal distribution.
- Coordinates the fulfillment of industry and government reporting, such as CMAA and US Bureau of Statistics.
Uses: Microsoft Office (incl. Excel,Word), CAD readers, customer relationship software, miscellaneous demo equipment.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma required.
- Minimum 3 years of related experience required.
- Ability to travel occasionally (up to 10% of work time) and stand for 8 hours during trade shows.
- Ability to lift 25 pounds (office / trade shows).
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
- Ideal candidate must be a good communicator (both verbal and written) with an outgoing personality.
Performs other duties as assigned. Participates in Continuous Improvement and 6S. Follows safety rules and keeps work area in clean and orderly condition
