The Customer Service Field Service Technician will be responsible for managing onsite resources during crane installation, as well as troubleshooting and repair of Whiting supplied cranes during customer contracted warranty period.

- Directing crane installation projects to meet budgets and completion dates.
- Inspection, repair and service of overhead cranes to maximize customer satisfaction during contracted warranty period.
- Assisting in mechanical, electrical, welding, on site fabrication and assembly, as well as other related tasks as directed by department manager.
- Plan and assist in estimating jobs as needed
- Troubleshoot problems, develop and implement solutions. Complete necessary related paperwork.
- Maintain great customer relations.
- Control cost through efficient use of supplies and proper tools.
- Mechanical, electrical, industrial controls and VFD knowledge a must.
- 480/3/60 (DC a plus)
- Electromechanical braking systems
- Position limit controls
- Remote radio controls
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematic drawings.
- Skilled in various hand tools
- Excellent time management, communication and organizational skills
Other requirements:
- Minimum of 4 years experience in maintaining and troubleshooting overhead cranes and components.
- Regular travel
- Ability to work at heights
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of the Project Management Team.
- Must believe in customer service.
