Mechanical Engineer

 

Swenson Technology, Inc., an industry recognized leader in the process equipment used in the chemical, pharmaceutical and waste reduction industries to convert liquids into solids is seeking a Mechanical Engineer.

The Mechanical Engineer performs mechanical engineering functions to review drawings and calculations for evaporators and crystallizers systems.

 

Under general direction of Project Manager:

  • Reviews ASME code calculations, stress analysis and drawings generated by STI personnel.
  • Reviews ASME code calculations, stress analysis and drawings generated by STI suppliers.
  • Participates in development of equipment standards.
  • Reports project status to company personnel to determine resource demands.
  • Follows company protocols and good engineering practice.
  • Supports overall company performance goals.


Reports to:

VP Projects

 

Uses:

  • AutoCAD
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
  • Microsoft Project or equivalent.

 

Requirements:

  • B.S. Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5+ years related experience
  • Strong knowledge of AutoCad (2D).
  • Understanding of project management fundamentals.
  • Good communicator, both verbal and written.

 

Preferences:

  • AutoCad (3D).
  • Experience with ASME code calculations.
  • Experience in chemical process industry.

 

Miscellaneous:

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Travel < 10%.
