Senior Mechanical Engineer

 Swenson Technology, Inc., an industry recognized leader in process equipment used in the chemical, pharmaceutical and waste reduction industries to convert liquid solutions into dry solids is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer.

The Senior Mechanical Engineer performs duties to create drawings and calculations for evaporators and crystallizer systems.

Under general direction of Project Manager:

·         Generate ASME code calculations, General Arrangements (GA) and outline drawings

·         Review ASME code calculations and drawings generated by STI personnel.

·         Review ASME code calculations and drawings generated by STI suppliers.

·         Participates development  of equipment standards.

·         Supports overall company performance goals.

·         Performs other duties as assigned

Reports to:

VP Projects

Uses:

·         Compress software for ASME code calculations in crystallizer and evaporator systems

·         AutoCAD to generate general arrangement and outline drawings for crystallizer and evaporator systems.

·         Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)

·         Microsoft Project or equivalent.

Requirements:

·         B.S. Mechanical Engineering

·         5 + years experience with ASME code calculations

·         Strong knowledge of AutoCad (2D)

·         Travel < 10%

·         Good communicator, both verbal and written

Preferences:

·         AutoCad (3D)

·         Experience in chemical process industry
