Whiting Services, Inc. is currently hiring for a Branch Service Manager in Thomasville, NC. The Branch Service Manager performs functions to manage and coordinate jobs for Service Technicians and act as the primary technical resource for all service related calls in house and in the field.

Under general direction:

~ Manages field jobs for the service branch which includes research, specification, manpower, quoting and purchasing of parts for service work.
~ Provides efficient and scheduling for productive utilization of the Service Technicians.
~ Act as the technical assistance source for Service Technicians.
~ Provides onsite leadership assistance and training for Service Technicians when required.
~ Develop a customer database for mass emailing to promote new and existing service business.
~ Increase annual business by expanding services from OSHA crane inspections to include other opportunities.
~ Develop vendor lists, including products supplied, to improve customer response time competitiveness.
~ Create a customer equipment database with pictures and archived information for easy access to ensure accurate quotes.
~ Promote in-house small hoist repairs, including electrical inspections and load test certifications.
~ Prepare and maintain all necessary service reports, as required.

Reports to: Regional Manager

Job Requirements:
~ High school diploma required; 2 years college or technical schooling preferred. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) required.
~ 5 plus years as service manager for a crane company or related experience required. Repair knowledge of multiple makes of cranes.
~ Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record required
~ Ability to travel occasionally on an overnight basis.
~ Ideal candidate must be a good communicator (both verbal and written), detail oriented, well organized and thorough in work habits, as well as accustomed to working in a team environment.

Follows safety rules and keeps work area in clean and orderly condition.
