Description
 
The  Product Sales Manager is responsible for developing and implementing the Whiting Passport business model to market and sell to end users, service providers and internal distributors. Defines the business mix, manages all the sales channels and supervises the whole product lifecycle. Understands end user requirements and regulations, develops the offering and drives the business strategies to generate sales. Interacts with sales, product development, engineering and customer service to ensure that the product is correctly communicated and positioned in the market.

Responsibilities: 
  • Makes customer sales calls and personally drives sales through internal distributors and end users alike.
  • Works with channel partners to develop innovative marketing programs and show event campaigns to articulate Whiting Passport's distinctive competence and unique advantage.
  • Track customer care, dashboard metrics and customer satisfaction to measure sales, trend and profitability and analyze the performance and employment of existing and new functionalities and features.
  • Develop and maintain databases; proposal database, pricing matrix and sales channel performance. Monitor and report on sales methods, key customer strategies and measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.
  • Work with Marketing to establish target lists and improve closing rates by strengthening sales tools by developing product line descriptions, competitor equipment analysis, customer testimonials and case studies, along with product brochures.
  • Track pricing changes taking place in the market, upgrade knowledge on new technological improvements and propose improvements to guarantee product success.
  • Perform qualitative research with existing customers and potential prospects.
  • Interface with industry thought leaders and strategic partners and work closely with sales team and partners to develop sales tools and training.
 ​Requirements:
  • 3 - 5 years of leadership experience in selling and promoting high technology industrial products.
  • An associate technical degree or equivalent experience required; a bachelor of science in engineering (electrical or mechanical) is a plus. 
  • Demonstrated success in product sales and end-to-end execution of business model implementation.
  • History of product management accomplishments and initiative.
  • Able to work on multiple sales projects simultaneously with excellent time management and organizational skills with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in developing relationships with suppliers and co-marketing partners highly desirable.
  • Excellent analytical and presentation skills to large and diverse audiences.
  • Ability to understand technical specifications and contract documents (request for quotes, purchase orders, terms and conditions, etc.) and identify appropriate clarifications and exceptions.
  • Experience preparing costing proposals.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (including: Excel, Word, Project and Power Point).
