Whiting Corporation is currently hiring Electrical Assemblers at our Monee, IL facility.
Whiting Corporation is well known as a superior quality manufacturer of custom, engineered to order overhead cranes and railcar maintenance equipment.
As an Electrical Assembler, your duties will include:

As an Electrical Assembler, your duties will include:
- Reading electrical drawings and schematics and assembling accordingly.
- Installing electrical control panels and conduit. Installing and terminating wire.
- Determining necessary tooling to be used for each work order and set-up if required.
- Use of measurement devices such as a tape measure, caliper, micrometer, etc.
- Use of hand tools, magnetic drill, grinder, saw and air tools to assemble product.
- Preparing layout for sub assemblies.
- Troubleshoot own work.
- Frequent work from an elevated position.
- Operation of a fork truck and all overhead cranes.
- Entering work order information through terminals in the shop.
- Following safety guidelines for safe operation of all equipment.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
You are a great fit for our team if you have:
- High school diploma or equivalency (required).
- Minimum 2 years related experience (preferred).
- Experience in crane or heavy equipment manufacturing (preferred).
- Ability to read electrical schematics and understand applicable electrical codes.
- Work in a factory setting; ability to stand 6-10 hours daily, ability to lift <50lbs frequently. Personal protective equipment (PPE) required.
- Ability to communicate effectively within the organization on multiple levels.
- Basic PC knowledge (ability to operate a keyboard and basic navigation between screens within an application).

Current starting wage: $15.57 per hour. $0.50/ hour increase after 90 days with good performance. OT often available.
