Industrial / Manufacturing Engineer

Performs functions to support shop functions with materials and training.   Determines and orders special needs parts and equipment.

Under general direction:
 

• Creates routings, BOM’s, and enters new part numbers into ERP for stock orders, sales orders and service orders.
• Monitors flow of process and equipment through the shop floor.
• Provides suggestions for improvement in manufacturing processes.
• Creates shipping and packing lists for large order shipments as back up for the Manufacturing Scheduler and Planner.
• Serves as back up for Machine Programmer.
• Writes cost justifications for new or replacement equipment.
• Project manages new equipment procurement and installation.
• Develops work standards for existing and new machinery.
• Follows safety guidelines for safe operation of all equipment.

Uses: Microsoft Office (incl. Excel,Word,Access), ERP

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalency required; 4 year degree in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or Engineering Technology highly preferred.
• Minimum 3 years experience in manufacturing engineering required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints required.
• Experience in crane or heavy equipment manufacturing preferred.
• Candidate must be a good communicator, both verbal and written; ability to conduct interpersonal speaking and writing across all functions of the organization.
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office.
