Whiting Corporation is current hiring for Mechanical Assemblers at our Monee, IL facility.

As a Mechanical Assembler, your duties will include:
- Work from blueprints, work order and instructions.
- Assembly of large industrial equipment with unique requirements from job to job.
- Use of hand tools, magnetic drill, grinder and air tools to assemble product.
- Preparing layout for subassemblies.
- Determining necessary tooling to be used for each work order and set-up if required.
- Use of measurement devices such as tape measure, caliper, micrometer, etc.
- Troubleshooting your own work.
- Frequently working from an elevated position.
- Operating a fork truck and all overhead cranes.
- Entering work order information through terminals in the shop.
- Following safety guidelines for safe operation of all equipment.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
You are a great fit for our team if you have:
- Minimum of 1 year related experience. Skill with various power and manual tools.
- Experience in heavy equipment manufacturing preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Ability to lift <50 lbs frequently, stand 6-10 hours daily in a factory setting, use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ability to communicate effectively within the organization on multiple levels.
- Basic PC knowledge (ability to operate a keyboard and basic navigation between screens within an application).
- High school diploma or equivalency.
