Description
Swenson Technology, Inc., an industry recognized leader in the process equipment used in the chemical, pharmaceutical and waste reduction industries to convert liquid solutions into dry solids is seeking a Project Engineer.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Develops drawings (general arrangements, and equipment drawings) with drafting personnel based upon final requirements from process engineering. 
  • Develops procurement specifications with purchasing.
  • Reviews vendor quotations and issues procurement recommendations.
  • Provides field services at fabricators, original equipment manufacturer, or construction site to ensure thoroughness and completeness.
  • Reviews and approves calculations for fabricated equipment.
  • Reviews and approves shop drawings for fabricated equipment.

Reports to:  Manager of Projects


Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; Master's degree a plus.
  • 5+ years with experience of progressive engineering and analysis within the chemical process industry.
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft: Excel, Project and Word.
  • Candidate must have strong organizational skills with the ability to work as a member of the Project team.
  • Good communication skills are essential; will interact with various levels internally as well as customers, suppliers, architects and engineers.
  • Some travel required, including international.
  • Must have or secure a passport.
  • Field and/or shop experience a plus.
  • Solid knowledge of ASME Section VIII code a plus.
